Hello from Whale Beach

Just a quick hello from us from Whale Beach located on the Avalon Peninsula in North Sydney. It was a windy day and the waves were breaking hard.

It was a lot of fun beach-hopping that day. We plan to make this a regular routine until we discover all of the beaches. That might take a while, but we'll struggle through it.

O'Malley Community Farewell June 08

Saturday July 5, 2008 - All our friends in the O'Malley Community gave us a farewell send-off with a BBQ and cake. Our heartfelt thanks to all who came and gave us their best wishes. We very much enjoyed all the camaraderie (drinking & parties) over the years.

Just getting started

We apologize to all readers since we haven't been able to spend a whole lot of time getting this blog updated.
Internet access has not been set up for us yet and we are updating this spot via wireless card. Getting to an Internet cafe to post on the blog just isn't practical. We expect full Internet access at our new home within a week or so. At that time we'll be able to post news and photos and do a better job keeping the site updated.

Suffice it to say, the move has been filled with experiences both good and bad, however the bad are minor in nature and best described as annoyances as the negative impact carries such little influence to our decision to move that we can not focus on them other than to consider them a learning experience to add to the good experiences for ourselves and anyone else who may wish to do the same type of move.
